In his review of the new documentary My Date With Drew, in which the protagonist attempts to score a date with Drew Barrymore, Tasha Robinson says that the film is "devoid of the larger perspective Michael Moore brought to bear on his similar efforts to meet GM CEO Roger Smith in Roger & Me." Let's assume that Moore's simplistic, distorted, vaguely jingoistic worldview deserves to be called a "larger perspective." The question, then, is what the hell kind of larger perspective this movie could have brought on Drew Barrymore. The global impact of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle? The Marxist underpinnings of Duplex? Puzzling.
